The Water Lilies series is a series in which Monet portrayed lotus flowers growing in small ponds and streams in the garden of his home in Paris, in different colors and lightings during the day. This special series, which consists of about 250 oil paints, has been worked on canvases in different forms and sizes. During these works, Monet tried to show how flowers can be portrayed in different ways under different lighting and weather conditions.
